Mintd is a shop that was born simply because the owners knew of really cool stuff that their friends around Melbourne were making. They saw how difficult it was for their friends to get their goods into stores and quickly realized they could be of help.

Founded by Lachlan Laycock and Rubidium Wu of Australia, Mintd is just a few months old, having just launched in Melbourne, Australia in November 2006. Together this team has assisted in the growth of this site just by word-of-mouth advertising and the supportive creative community around them.

Mintd is a marketplace of handmade items. It’s a collaborative web-space for designers, artists and musicians to sell their work and to connect to new markets. Making this place even more unique is that there is no start up cost and no middle-man markup. Lachlan and Rubidium have made it simple for sellers to create a space to share their work.
