Any of you recognize why this is such an important date?
Hint #1: I can tell you that I (along with zillions of others) will be in line outside of a movie theater as July 12 turns to July 13 because at the stroke of midnight I’ll be watching a new movie.
Hint #2: The movie I’m talking about in Hint #1 is the fifth in a series of seven.
Hint #3: A book will be released on July 21, just a little over one week later, that features the same characters that will be in the movie that I’m referring to in Hint #1 and Hint #2.
Know what July 13, 2007 signifies now? Sure you do! HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX!!! I’m ready for the movie. I’ve pre-ordered my copy of book #7. Only thing left to do now is wait.

Yahoooooooooo! We’ve started the countdown at our house for these HP events! My husband, son (3rd grade) are HUGE fans! It’s going to be a banner summer! We actually went back this winter and re-read all the other books so we’re thoroughly prepped! I’m so glad that my son gets to experience the HP book madness as it’s taking place–who knows when there will be another series with such big appeal! We often play our own version of HP trivia when we go for evening walks, and the 9-year-old always wins!

I have to admit that before I used to be a little hesitant to purchase Harry Potter things at shops. But after a while I realized that so many adults are just as in to the whole Harry world as kids…maybe even more! Going back and re-reading the books is something I think I’m going to try and do before the final book comes out.
