What is it that you design and create?
A little of this and that. Our site more of a conglomerate of many indie designers to fulfill everyone’s little desires for something new from their favorite designer.
What is your favorite part of the design process?
Seeing something come together.
How did you come up with your business name?
My mom used to call me amy purple pink and orange when I was little. However, if you were to ask her now why she called me that, she has no idea. I have no idea either.
Who or what inspires you?
Other indie designers, it’s great being a part of this community where you get to meet so many other amazing people.
What advice would you give other independent artists who are just starting out? Treat yourself well and be thankful for your talents and ability to do what you love.

What was the last movie you watched?
The Science of Sleep
What’s your favorite food?
Cheesecake possible. Mind you, as of just about one year ago, I hated cheesecake. One day, I got a craving for it (yeah, I often get cravings for foods I hate, doesn’t everyone?) and have had a hard time resisting ever since.
What’s your favorite candy?
Oh, I have to pick just one? Hmmm, maybe Cadbury Fruit and Nut Chocolate Bars. No wait, maybe Toblerone. Or maybe that candy bar I just tried the other day that was White Chocolate and Dark Chocolate swirled with the cute panda on the wrapper? Or perhaps it is Swedish Fish. Nah, let’s stick to something chocolate. Ok, I’ll go with my first answer. Although once I think of it, Kraft caramels are pretty good too.
Coffee or Tea?
Love the smell of coffee, can not stand the taste. Hot tea? I’d rather not. However, Iced Tea is where it’s at. I like to make fresh brewed when it’s warmer out.
What store could you walk around in for hours and be happy?
I’m not sure I could. A guess would be Ikea, but anytime I am out for long periods of time anymore, I need a nap.
Any pets?
Yes – two kitties named Haley and Michi. Or more affectionately, Chubbles and Woogie respectively.
Favorite place to visit or place you’d like to visit?
France – We went in March 2004 and had an amazing time. We went all over the place, but didn’t quite make it to the west coast. I’d love to go back and see more.
If you could be a superhero, what would your name be and what would be your superpowers?
Man, if there is anything I want to do sometimes is teleport myself especially on long drives or boring plane rides. I’ll be over there girl.
Any celebrity crushes?
Wentworth Miller and Gael Garcia Bernal
Favorite Holiday?
I like the anticipation of xmas, but then after it happens, I am always like all that buildup for this? I guess the gift giving (which I love to do) just goes by so quickly.
If you were a shoe, what shoe would you be?
I really hope I am never a shoe. Stinky.
What do you secretly wish you could do/be?
I think deep down, I am not 100% sure what I want to do, but if I figure it out, I’m so there. I’m going to school for finance and I love numbers and facts and figures, so that’s about close as I can get right now.
Favorite piece of clothing?
Shall I be honest? I prefer to be in my PJs. Whenever I come home, I put them right on. Most times I am packaging up orders to go out, I’m in my PJs.
Do you speak any other languages? If not, would you like to learn one?
I took French for seven years and I wish I was fluent in it. I can read it pretty well, but having a conversation can be a little embarrassing. I actually recently bought four books in French to help build up my vocabulary. However, I only made it about one page in one book because I’ve been so busy.
Now that we’re at the start of a new year (well, a few months in), are you a believer in making resolutions? Do you keep them?
I try to do things that will make myself proud all year long. Keyword: I try.
Are you a fan of Valentine’s Day? It was a couple of months ago, but I find that everyone has a different opinion on this day.
While this has passed already, my husband and I have a tradition of making Valentine’s Day cookies together. It’s really sweet.
