Anthro
I can honestly say that I am a small business and indie craftsperson supporter (hey, that’s why Mixed Plate exists!). 100%. If it means I have to pay more for something that is handmade compared to a cheaper version from a big box shop I will ALWAYS go handmade. Not only does that mean you are going for a unique and great quality product, but you are also supporting your fellow creative types. That being said and while this blog is usually indie…I walked into Anthropologie the other day. I’m not sure if I should feel bad about this or not. I didn’t buy anything there, just looked. I have to say that there’s a lot of cute and pretty there. May I share with you?…

aloha! i’m Liana. this is my site. i am not a professional writer. i pretty much just write the way i talk. it’s fun meeting new online friends and introducing these amazing artists. i’ll do my best to keep you entertained.

I know how you feel – I am trying to cleanse myself from the big boxes myself since for the last three months I have been an independent retailer but I still hold a soft spot for Anthro!
Anthropologie is darn cute, but I do not know that they are less than handmade. But, oh so cute, and made in China!
I feel guilty too…but sometimes the things in there just catch your eye! The birdhouse is sooo cute….I bet there is something similar on etsy or somewhere else out there. I’m going on a mission to find it…
