Renegade, Baby!

The First Annual Renegade Craft Fair in San Francisco‘s Fort Mason Center was awesome! I was able to stop and meet some of my favorite crafters that I only knew via email. I’ve featured all of them in the past and was excited to put faces with names and products. It seemed that a lot of folks were making purchases and I couldn’t stop at a couple of the booths to introduce myself because the designers were too busy (which is a good sign!). So, I apologize if I said we’d meet and I didn’t stop over. I tried to take photos but was easily distracted by all the shiny, crafty goodness that surrounded me. I spent a few hours there on Saturday and tried to control myself as everything begged to purchased. Tons of great clothing, jewelry and art designers (just to name a few) were spread out in the Festival Pavilion over the two-day fair. Here’s a couple of shots…

I got to meet the lovely Jessee of Art School Dropout. I scored a little bee lapel pin that I just couldn’t resist.

Here’s the adorable and very sweet Rhonda of Figs and Ginger. I meant to wear the Forest Fawn Studs that I purchased from her husband, Elijah, back at Bazaar Bizarre to show her.

Someone else that I was thrilled to meet was Faythe Levine. She was very kind and I asked her when the Handmade Nation movie and book (you can pre-order the book – can’t wait!) will be coming out. I kept hovering around her table wanting to say hello…well, that and I couldn’t decide what I wanted to buy.

Here’s what I ended up with. Gotta show her support…

A friend purchased a great top for me from Saltlick. Also, I didn’t get a photo of her booth, but I did get to meet Mimie and her husband of mi SPA. There were a bunch of other great places I stopped at and I’ll be sure to do features about them soon. If you were there, share your experience. What’d you buy?

Oh, I wish I had met you!!!! It was so busy, I could only talk to people that were in front of me. It was great show, but I am sad I didn’t get to walk around and meet other vendors
