Where are you located?
Frisco, TX
How did you come up with your business name?
Pretty easily actually since we feature shops that are trendy ☺
Where/How did this all begin?
I found the wonderful world of handmade through a web design client. And of course, I just fell in love with the handmade artist community. I wanted to create a place where these talented individuals could feature their items.
Who or what inspires you?
Life, my beautiful boys, my awesome husband and my fantastic friends.
What advice would you give other independent artists who are just starting out?
All businesses have their ups and downs. Always keep your chin up and move forward!
What is your favorite indie purchase or trade?
That is hard as I love to purchase indie handmade items. I have to say my most useful was a small pouch purse that I carry all of the time when I don’t want to carry my large handbag.
What’s on your iPod/music player right now?
A variety of music – I like all sorts from LeAnne Rimes to Mika to Chris Daughtry.
What t.v. shows are you currently hooked on?
I love the home design shows on HGTV!
What was the last movie you watched?
It’s the summer so I take the kids to the $1 movies every Wednesday. Last Wednesday was Shrek the Third.
What’s your favorite food?
Indian…I love chicken curry!
What’s your favorite candy?
Chocolate…certified chocoholic here.
Coffee or Tea?
Tea during the day and desert coffee at night
What store could you walk around in for hours and be happy?
I don’t shop at stores much but I love to go into the neat little trendy stores that have a collection of items.
Any pets?
We have a beautiful German Shepherd (Shadow) and a sweet kitty (Sadie). Of course my boys also have several fish and 3 turtles.
Favorite place to visit or place you’d like to visit?
I LOVE Hawaii. It is so beautiful and tranquil.
If you could be a superhero, what would your name be and what would be your superpowers?
Too funny…it would have to be Super Mommy.
Favorite Holiday?
Oh without a doubt – Christmas!
What do you secretly wish you could do/be?
I guess it isn’t a secret but I would like to be successful enough to have my husband working at home with me.
Favorite piece of clothing?
I have a new SimplyVera / Vera Wang top that I just love!
We’re already half way through 2008! Oh yes, so soon. What are your plans for the year?
I take my days one at a time. My kids keep me so busy along with my businesses and volunteer work. I just have to remember to enjoy every day that I’m blessed with!
