I am very excited to share that Vintage Indie‘s Indie Wedding Guide has, for the second year, launched the Indie Weddings Month Celebration. What this means for you is a guide and directory full of amazing ideas to create your wedding using all things indie. They offer ways of d-i-ying it and encourage the three R’s: reduce, reuse and recycle. During the month of March, they’ll be posting information about giveaways, independent and small business vendors, tutorials and project ideas, eco-friendly and vintage alternatives and real life wedding tales. Check it out for yourself and share with loved ones who may need some wedding day planning tips.

I was born and raised in Hawaii. I have now lived in San Francisco for a little over one year. Have I become acclimated with the weather here? Not completely. Some days I think I have it all figured out. Others, not so much. Whatever my feeling about the cold here, I will always, always love and miss Hawaii. Seeing the new things that local designers create makes me happy. But even better is when they have great outdoor photo shoots like in the Spring 2009 Collection of Fighting Eel. The sun is shining, there’s beautiful green grass, water, no more than one layer of clothing being worn…It almost makes me feel warm.

The location of the special project that Shauna and Stephen have been working on has been revealed. Something’s Hiding In Here has collaborated with Fred Flare for their “Your Message Here” marque sign. I loved it the first time they did it and even submitted an idea or two of my own. The installation is based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn at Fred Flare. For the next 40 days you can submit your message ideas and they’ll select their favorites (which will be displayed on the sign) and share them on the BFF Blog. Also, if you are fortunate enough to live in the area, you can join Shauna and Stephen on April 10th for a party at the new Fred Flare shop. They’ll be debuting a limited edition of goodies documenting the project (yup, I’m jealous). Check it out!

We have been seeing some rainy days here in San Francisco. I have to say that getting up when all you hear is the sound of the rain falling is a tough thing to do. Staying under the covers and being warm and cozy seems like the right thing. I figured that in the spirit of the current weather, featuring some great puddle jumping artwork would be appropriate.
