Another week down. Enjoy your Friday and have a wonderful weekend. Anyone have exciting plans? I’ll be up very early tomorrow morning so that I can move to my new apartment. Another neighborhood to explore in a city that I have called home for less than two years now. Wish me luck! Oh, and Happy, Happy Friday.
Mmmm…hmmm…Don’t be shy. I love Locher’s. You do, too, right? It’s a little naughty and oh-so-sweet. Wanna know something that will make you love shopping the site more? There’s a sale going on right now. Enter code “SUGARDADDY” for 30% off your order through July 7. {pricing listed below are regular prices}
The other day I opened up an email from Jen about her fun jewelry shop, plastique*. A graphic designer in Los Angeles by day, she has recently started up the hobby of designing acrylic jewelry. I’m so glad that she did! Her shop is full of affordable pieces that would liven up any outfit.
As I type this I look around my apartment. By this weekend I’ll have moved in to another apartment in the city. So, as you can imagine, my current apartment has boxes and bags of things that crowd my {tiny} walk space. I have kicked the same box by my dresser and bed and stubbed my toe too many times to count in the last couple days. Of course, I’m dreaming that I’ll be well organized in my new space. Perhaps with the help of these lovely hand printed and sewn Storage Bags and Bins by the lovely Jenna Rose…
I got schooled the other day when I read an email from Bees’netta on the meaning behind “vintanics”. By blending vintage and organic fabrics, piecing together remnants from both past and modern, comes a newer approach to the shop‘s line. If you noticed that Suzie closed her shop for a little bit it may have had you worried. In my heart I knew she’d return {just as she had said}, but I kept checking her shop and site to see what new things would pop up. She is now concentrating on making bags in more limited editions and that means bags will be in the mail and on their way to you sooner. I am so excited and am predicting that you’ll see much more of Bees’netta here on Mixed Plate.
You have made it through another week. Were you successful in completing your tasks? Did you enjoy yourself? I sure do hope so. I also wish that you’ll have lovely weekends and may you have a Happy, Happy Friday.
As if all of the other gorgeous accessories weren’t enough, Jen and Jamie of ban.do have now added corsages AND collars to their line. Does it get any prettier?
Checkers. I haven’t played a game in years. I doubt I was even very good at it. But it brings back happy memories of sitting with my grandpa at the dining room table or out on the porch just hanging out. But, Grandpa never had a checkerboard this cool…
Sets come with 12 small pieces of each “side” you play for, 5 larger pieces {for “king me”}, a game box with a slide lid to store the pieces {the checkerboard is on the inside of the lid}, and 2 muslin bags for both sets of characters. Everything at the shop is hand painted using non-toxic materials by Michelle and Kelly. So awesome! Makes me want one just for remembering times with grandpa.
So maybe that wasn’t what I was dreaming of last night. But, I thought I’d share this adorable clip of Regina Spektor with you for your morning. She looks so happy and it just looks like they’re having a fun time. I saw this yesterday via another blog who found it via another blog, etc. while I was surfing. Sorry that I can’t remember where I saw it exactly.
