Rugged. Manly. Scruffy. I have a thing for guys with facial hair {when it’s done right}. And since I was talking with a friend the other day who is trying out a new look {looks good, by the way} of facial hair, it made me think of posting this…
What is your take on wallpaper? I’m pretty sure growing up we all lived in a home that had some type of wallpaper or had grandparents or relatives with some kind of crazy {sometimes awful} wall decor. I used to think that wallpaper wasn’t the way to go but in the more recent years have found more and more lovely options. Maybe folks are just getting more creative with the designs or with the way it can be used. My walls are looking pretty sad and I’m wishing these Aimee Wilder designs via Rare Device could make an appearance on them…
I have always wished that I had beautiful handwriting. Perfect cursive letters that flowed across paper effortlessly. I love this Silver Woodgrain Noteset by Neapolitan…
This set contains 6 folded cards {2 of each sentiment} that have been lettered by hand in opaque white ink and comes with envelopes. Arrives in a reusable box. If I had these I could only hope that my writing on the interior would be decent enough and deserving of the lovely exterior.
After my post yesterday about Alice B. Gardens Photography, I realized that her other shop had never been fully featured here on Mixed Plate. How in the world could I have skipped it?! I realized that I kept intending to do a feature but loved the whole shop of the photography of Elle Moss that I had put it off. You know, me and my indecisive ways. The one print I had featured was for Valentine’s Day earlier this year {but I’ll show it to you again since I love it so}. I’ve tried my best to narrow down my top picks of her dreamy, vintage inspired portraits…
Visiting Heidi & Seek means that there will always be something unique for you. And only you. Hayley makes one-of-a-kind clothing using 100% reclaimed fabrics. Here are some of my favorites in this Melbourne, Australia based shop…
This happens to me a lot. I mean, a lot. I cruise around Etsy and stumble upon something I like. I visit the shop and then find more that I like. I then become very indecisive and want waytoo many things. What happens next is because I cannot select the item that speaks to me most…I stalk the shop. I’ll add items to my wish list and then continue to visit and see what new things have been added. It’s like a little obsession. I know, it’s weird. But that’s how I do. Sohomode is a prime example of my shop-stalking behavior. I basically adore everything that Louise Hedley makes. Her designs are feminine, vintage inspired clothing for the modern girl. So, here’s a few things on, you know, my wish list…
Stephanie Bellomo sent me an email recently about her company, Bungaloe. She and her mom work as a team to create clothing, housewares, and these great tote bags made with organic cotton canvas {excluding the bags with gray exteriors}. Based out of Rockaway Beach in New York City {where their inspiration comes from}, the duo designs, sews and prints bags with non-toxic ink and repurposed seat belts as handles. I love how durable the bags look {thank you, double top stitching!}.
