First of all, can you tell us what you create?
Lots of stuff. Wood rings, mustaches on a stick, marque signs…We are always looking to make something that we would have never dreamed of making – that’s what inspires us.
How do you begin your day? Any morning rituals?
Coffee! Then, we plan our day, which always includes making a giant list.
Do you do something crafty each day? Where does your inspiration come from?
We really do make something almost everyday, we’re not very good at relaxing. We get inspired by our everyday lives: our friends, our home, places we visit, the tools we use…
What’s your workspace like {organized}?
Oh yeah, it’s organized! Shauna is CRAZY for organizing everything!
How many hours does your normal work day consist of?
We both have full time jobs, but we try real hard to get 40 hours in our studio each week!
How do you end your day of crafty business? Any evening rituals?
Coffee! I’m serious…we just can’t get enough of it. We also try to photograph work as we go, so often in the evening we will upload photos and start to think about the projects for next day.
What is your definition of a perfect day?
A spring day in our studio with the windows open, coffee in hand and NPR playing on the radio {especially Ira Glass’ This American Life}.
