optimism.

I forgot that I had bookmarked the Project Optimism website for Mixed Plate. Shame on me. I had such a wonderful day yesterday that I thought I’d share some happy with you all. I love Reed Seifer‘s work which includes his optimism buttons that was part of his senior art thesis back in 1995 while he attended Clark University. Since that time, his designs have been included in the collections of universities, museums, and Ms. Martha Stewart. Check it out…

paisley tree press. 2010.

While Paisley Tree Press has a great variety of other paper products in their shop, I thought I’d share their 2010 calendar with you. The red satin ribbon holding all the pages together is such a pretty touch. All of the printing they do takes place via their circa 1902 letterpress {ooooh, letterpress}…

kari herer.

I was browsing around Kari Herer’s website and checking out her photography work. I kind of wanted to pull everything and share it with you – portraits of pets, images of botanicals, etc. So to reel myself back in and keep this post under control, I chose some prints from her Etsy shop for you. Enjoy!

mayhem.

McCheek’s Mayhem is a sweet little shop run by Carole Smith out of Houston, Texas. She creates one-of-a-kind handcast ceramic bowls, mugs and cups. Along with her husband {who is a screenprinter and shirt designer}, Carole creates her own decals to add to her collection of found ones in order to deliver us a unique line of home wares. I love that there is detail surrounding each entire piece. Here are a few of my favorites…
