Who loves paper crafts? I thought so. That is why I am loving Beth and Carrie’s newest letterpressed item. It’s the Chandler Lane Small Town Kit {$24.00} and is just asking to be assembled and put up by my window!
All the illustrations are sketched by hand and then turned into letterpress plates. The duo then prints using their Chandler and Price Craftsman press. Available at their shop, 1Canoe2, this is just the first in a series of diorama kits. I can hardly wait to see what the next one will be.
Makes sense that I would choose shades of green as today’s color, right? Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? If so, do you know the significance of today? Either way, enjoy these images…

Stevie of Tru.che makes great jewelry including a line that is devoted to helping you publicly display your affection for your favorite state. The United States of Love collection is handmade from fine silver and includes matching heart stud earrings recycled from the necklace’s heart cutouts. Oh, and you know I had to ask her if she ever had a request for a Hawaii necklace. She is able to do individual islands and most recently did a custom order for Maui. Hmmm, maybe an O’ahu one is in my future. Which one would you get {check below for a free shipping code!}?
1. I heart New York
2. I heart Texas
3. I heart California
4. I heart Florida
5. I heart Oregon
6. I heart New Jersey {love that she put “fist pump!” as part of the description}
all above necklaces are $50/each
ps – I noticed that “Tru.che travels across state lines and internationally” so you can get a custom necklace for, I’m assuming, almost anywhere. cool!
For free shipping type in “MixedPlate” in the comment section at checkout. You will be refunded the amount. Thanks, Stevie!
Judy sent me an email introducing me to her website. It’s full of illustrations that you can purchase from her Etsy shop. Judy’s intent was never to be an artist until she realized she was drawing stories of her life amongst her notebooks. She now understands why she was transformed into the gal that carries a ball-point pen around with her at all times in her knapsack. I always love stories of people who found their calling sort of by chance. Here are a few of my favorites…

The Spring+ Easter Arts and Crafts Fair runs today through April 9, 2010.
A Friday Favorites post! Finally. Sorry that it’s been some time since the last one. Any fun plans ahead? I’m not sure if it’s the wind that’s been stirring up the pollen and dust or if it’s just a hint of Spring, but my eyes hurt. They burn and itch and I’m thinking that allergy season is here. So I hope to unwind tomorrow and I’ll be working all day Sunday like normal. Hope you had a fun week and will have a wonderful weekend. Have a Happy Aloha Friday!
