flowers.

Yesterday I met a guy who was taking a floral arranging class at the City College here along with his roommate. In his arm was a gorgeous mix of purple and blue flowers and he told me he was working on a rainbow arrangement. At the same time I saw someone I knew wave at me as they passed by. In her arms a lovely bunch of blooms including peonies. I love peonies yet I don’t recall ever buying any for myself. It may be because of the cost or that I’m out most of the day and will not be able to enjoy them as much. I think, however, with all the beautiful things the guy taking the class told me about flowers and how to find affordable ones, I may have to make a special trip tomorrow to spruce up my apartment. Peonies, perhaps? But for today…

You should get yourself those flowers– lovely as these photos are, they are missing the beautiful scent! I brought in some peony blossoms from my garden, and it’s such a treat to see and smell them!
