spooky time.
i think when people meet me they assume i may be the kind of girl that would enjoy romantic comedies. not that i hate them or anything, i just would rather watch a horror flick. i don’t know what it is, but i like sitting and watching something and hoping i’ll get scared. i get tense and nervous as the scene builds {you know, when you just know something is about to happen} and i love it. when i had a television {sheesh! that was before i moved to sf!} i’d look forward to this time of year because you could find those “100 scariest moments/movies” shows or “fear festivals” going on. what are some movies that always scare you? here’s a few that may do the trick…
the shining is always a great one…
did i tell you guys that i watched a midnight viewing of it several months back at the clay theater?
obviously, the exorcist is one everyone’s list…
ju-on is the japanese {original} version of the grudge…
ringu is the japanese {original} version of the ring…
what makes the house of the devil great is that it was released in 2009 but is shot to look like it’s the 80′s. not saying it’s super scary or anything, but it has a couple of moments.
and psycho. love me some alfred hitchcock…
i realize that none of these movies are particularly gory {which i will admit to enjoying sometimes, too}. also, i noticed i didn’t post any zombie movies. shame on me. well, with blogs like shana‘s surviving horror, brutal as hell, and new-to-me horror society, i can get my horror fix at any time.
so, what’s your favorite scary movie? what was the last one that freaked you out so bad that you didn’t want to go to the bathroom alone in the middle of the night or wanted to leave all the lights on? i’m trying to figure that out.

aloha! i’m Liana. this is my site. i am not a professional writer. i pretty much just write the way i talk. it’s fun meeting new online friends and introducing these amazing artists. i’ll do my best to keep you entertained.
