noemi ivanova is an independent lingerie and accessories designer living in stockholm, sweden. her label, made by noemi, was first established in 2003 when she found that she lacked underwear that was not only beautiful, but comfortable as well. her designs are classic, luxe and feminine yet have a very wearable and edgy look to them. if that statement is at all possible, noemi seems to have been the one to mix all of those qualities together.

what i find so interesting about visiting made by noemi’s website is reading about the inspiration behind the collections. the most recent one, “my darling magpie“, is dedicated to the bird that she had been fascinated with {and a recent viewing of alfred hitchcock’s “the birds” helped, too}. the collection began with the colors of the magpie. noemi then added stronger fuchsias, yellows, and greens for more of an eye-catching appeal.

all of these handmade items have my heart racing and believe me, i have clicked that little “buy” button located under pretty much each and every item in the shop. can anyone help me narrow it down {i dare you to select just one item}? i’m thinking that this is just the first post i’m devoting to her line and if you love it as much as i do, i’ll share more. i love all of the little details. um, and the stockings? oh. yes.

ps – how gorgeous are the photos? check out the accessories and the men’s collection.

alright all you crafty folks. here’s a quick little post that you surely will understand and be able to relate to. one day i was chatting with a friend as he was looking through a catalog. he glanced over at me and said that he loved looking at it because it had equipment that was related to his work so it made him happy. he tried to relate it to how girls enjoy fashion catalogs of bags and shoes. but i had to interject and share with him that i was more of a tools and supplies kinda shopper. paper. pens. wrapping. and how about these {pink & silver embroidery scissors: $10.00/each}…

that’s right. scissors. i have regular scissors. i have a pair of handmade scissors {similar to these – i got mine here}. you know, ones just for cutting ribbon or just for cutting paper. ones to slice through fabric. and, of course, when i started my first embroidery project with a kit i had purchased from sublime stitching, i had to get an appropriate pair for that craft. right? i have this pair {wicked step scissors: $12.50}…

but i want the newest pair of owl scissors {$22.50} that’s been added to the shop…

and then there’s always these gold dragon scissors {$13.50}…

come on. you feel me, right? i say one can never have too many tools!
