traidremade is a company based in the uk that is run by fashion recycling charity, traid {textile recycling for aid and international development}. when you purchase from traidremade, you are helping to support traid’s work to raise funds to fight global poverty through its clothes recycling and environmental activities in the uk. everything at the shop is a one-of-a-kind piece made by hand in brighton using textiles that would have ended up thrown out. here are some of my favorites…

do you have any stuffed animals? there’s nothing wrong with me being an adult and wanting dolls, right? i mean, i’m not talking about the kind i had as a kid or would win from the fair or fun factory. i’m referring to handmade ones. because, really, who wouldn’t love george…

george the giraffe is a one-of-a-kind soft toy handmade in adelaide, australia by fiona. i have a sweet little monkey that i purchased from her several years ago that i adore.

i love giving cards to people. sometimes it’s because of a special occasion and sometimes it’s just because. and there are times when i just want someone to know i’m thinking of them. i thought this was a pretty cute one…

i think it would be great for someone who has a sense of humor. you could write a sweet little note about how wonderful you think they are or why you appreciate them. love it!

when i got a little note from my girl jena about her friend betsy’s jewelry line, betsy & iya, i couldn’t wait to check it out. i am a fan of mixed metals, chains, and any sort of fun and funky material groupings. i love that she offers up an assortment of items for every personality and pretty much every taste and attitude. for starters, who can resist a pair of pirate ship earrings…

so, maybe that title made you think of an actual fanny that has been bedazzled with sequins {wait, can you even “bedazzle” sequins?}. admit it, we all have owned and worn a fanny pack at some point, right? oh, please do not tell me i’m the only one that had one as a kid. please? well, one of my girlfriends rocks an array of different fun colored {think neon} fanny packs. and, in my opinion, she looks super cute with them! seeing this new one over at ban.do made me think of her…

the good news is that this doubles as a clutch. if you’re not feeling the whole fanny pack look simply carry it around. on the back there’s a belt loop so that you can slip it onto your favorite little belt. i love that the inside is lined with hot pink satin. very sassy!
oh, and if you enter “fannypack” through friday you can get 25% off yours!
sequin fanny pack: $55.00
