i am 100% totally in love with oakland’s double dutch sweets. confectioner shiyuan’s creation the ramona bar is ridiculously delicious. imagine a fancy, high-end version of a snickers bar that includes nougat with peanuts and a layer of salted caramel, all covered in dark chocolate with salt sprinkled across the top. yes, i am drooling right now as well. the one place here in the city of san francisco where you can pick up some of her bars is the candy store in russian hill.
even better news is that shiyuan will be at the candy store this thursday for a confectioner showcase where you can meet with her and sample her chocolate. while there you can enjoy some champagne and take advantage of a 10% discount on any purchase you make throughout the event.

happy weekend! i had a really busy week but a best friend has had an even busier one. i tried to cheer them up yesterday a little bit because something happened that will now prevent their participation in an upcoming event that they’d worked so very hard on. i felt sad for my friend because of the pain they were in and how disappointed they were about the circumstances. but when i stumbled upon this letterpress print, i thought it might help in the cheer-up process since shark week is apparently their favorite week of the year…
i do love me some shark week. cute, right? it’d cheer me up.

i love animals and go gaga over products with animals on them. paper products, bags, clothing, you name it! so it was only natural that i felt the need to feature these farm animal glasses by jessica rust designs…
the glasses, like the others available at her shop, are made from recycled wine and beverage bottles. sold as a set of 4, you can select a cow, pig, rooster, or lamb design or go for one of each. also, a portion of the proceeds go to sustainable futures, an organization that puts the unemployable back to work.

hope your tuesday is going well so far. i have been pretty productive and am catching up on some work. i just had to share a preview of snoozer loser‘s fall/winter 2011 collection. everything is hand-printed in their studios in upstate new york, downtown new york and their brand new location, shanghai, china. the collection consists of eco-linen printed with water-based inks.

red is such a striking color. a powerful one, in fact. it can really give you a pick-me-up when you need it. you know, slap on some red lipstick or put on a coat of fresh red nail polish and you feel like a whole new person! or at least that’s what i do if i’m looking for a boost. do you do red?
