happy halloween.

halloween is pretty great, right? there’s the dressing up, the candy, and my favorite part…all the scary movies that are brought back in small theaters and on tv. what will you be doing? i’ll be at the candy store in san francisco where they’re having their 5th annual halloween event {they give away tons of candy…for free!}. have fun and be safe!

cute, right?

treat yo self.

it’s been a while since i’ve had flowers in my apartment. so today while i was passing by one of my favorite flower shops. i allowed myself to have a little treat. i got a bouquet {love the black paper, tissue and ribbon} put together by owner of birch torryne choate that consisted of dahlias and beautiful cream/off-white carnations {by the way, i have a new appreciation for carnations}…

ps – if you get the “treat yo self” reference, please tell me. hint: it’s from one of my favorite shows!

100copies.

i recently received an email from singapore-based creative director thomas yang regarding his newly launched website. being an avid cyclist and passionate artist, thomas created a series of posters and t-shirts called 100copies. and, yes you’ve guessed it, all of the original designs are limited to just 100 pieces. each item is watermarked and labeled with the title and edition number which really means that no two copies are ever completely identical.

big heart.

i have been really fortunate to have made some really great friends since moving to san francisco. my best friend here {who is actually my best friend ever} just had something sad happen and that just kills me. i just love and respect her and admire her so much that i just want to be there and do anything i can to make her smile or hopefully ease her pain. although i’ve known her for just about a year she has been so supportive of me and kind and seen me through quite a bit already. so as i was thinking about her today {and sending her fun little video clips that i hoped might cheer her up} i found some great things that reminded me of her. because she’s the best, really, and she really hearts hearts…
