to help raise funds for the earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in japan, confetti system is donating 100% of the proceeds of their handmade knot ornament to the red cross. for a donation of $30.00 or more, you will receive one of these special pieces. their response has been great so far and they will continue their contribution through the end of the month.

how was your weekend? mine was a mix of unexpected fun, some stuff not-so-fun, and {thankfully} hanging with some friends. i had two whole days off in a row {which is rare for me} and it was nice. except for when i was waiting at a bus stop and saw a bicyclist get hit by a truck. the good news was that he was wearing a helmet. so, as a reminder for all of you who ride bikes around…

i just stumbled upon this project where 25 leading letterpress printers were asked to create 50 unique notebooks. they had free rein to do what ever they chose. the “feedback loop” collection of their limited edition books can be found over at the felt & wire shop where 100% of the proceeds will be going to design ignites change, supporting their school: by design youth mentorship program. you know, not that you needed a reason to own another beautiful letterpress notebook.
