judy kaufmann.

Judy sent me an email introducing me to her website. It’s full of illustrations that you can purchase from her Etsy shop. Judy’s intent was never to be an artist until she realized she was drawing stories of her life amongst her notebooks. She now understands why she was transformed into the gal that carries a ball-point pen around with her at all times in her knapsack. I always love stories of people who found their calling sort of by chance. Here are a few of my favorites…

Can I tell you what is exciting me about Jan’s new market? The theme. She just launched the new Spring edition {celebrating Spring and everything hippity-hop} and so here’s to all of us feeling a little bit warmer soon {hopefully very soon}…

raindrops.

It turned out to be another cold and rainy day here in the city. It was dark and dreary. Hell, I kind of liked it. Nothing wrong with that, right? Well, I certainly wouldn’t mind having these art pieces that have been turned in to wall stickers by the fabulous {and for sure a fave of mine} Blanca Gómez. If only the actual rain were as pretty and colorful…

Monsieur and Mademoiselle Under the Rain Wall Stickers: $111.00/ea

This has nothing to do with the rain, but is too wonderful not to post. I mean, don’t you ever feel like you’d like to just float away? Perhaps with the help of a giant red balloon…

You could buy the Llama and Cheetah separately. But I think they belong together. They are penpals, after all.

breathe.

Happy Monday and Happy March to you! Wait, did I just say March?! I kind of don’t remember February even happening. Did it? I have been feeling pretty overwhelmed recently and from time to time I do let things get to me. I need to create better balance in my life and take some time for myself. I should learn to relax and breathe…

I bet you never had a scooter like this growing up…

I saw this Rocking Italian Scooter Deluxe {$2,000.00} by Théatron Italian Art the other morning on the Etsy and was blown away. Everything is handmade {and made to order} in Turin on this fiberglass with aluminum and steel detailed rocking-scooter and even has working lights and clacson. I wonder if I’m too big for this?

organelle design.

I stumbled upon Vancouver, BC-based independent studio Organelle Design and had to share this with you. Courtney Hunt and Alex Witko draw from architectural, interior and industrial design practices to create innovative products and home design. Check out the organically inspired furniture and lighting they craft from common recycled materials…

aloha.

Aloha in Hawaiian can mean a number of things, including both hello and love. While it didn’t make the cut for Jennifer’s most recent design, I do think these would be fantastic in any home or office in need of a modern print…

a little {ok, a lot} of ray.

Who is that musician {or musicians} that you always go to time and again? When I need to feel calm. When I want to go to that moody place. When I just need some relaxing tunes. It is a small handful of musicians I count on and Ray LaMontagne has been the one who seems to always be on. In fact, I’m actually listening to him as I type this post {makes sense, right?}. So I thought I’d share some concert posters I found online from his past shows.

still here.

I just wanted to say thank you for being so patient. I haven’t posted in a couple days and I have my internet service provider to thank for that. I’ve been frustrated and am not able to do much work since everything takes place online. I’ll keep trying to remedy the issue and will hopefully be back like normal tomorrow. Hope you’ll have a great Monday. I heart you all…
