Mmmmm….I smell good and am all nice and smooth. Alright, so maybe that sounded a little strange. I’m actually referring to the wonderful products I am lucky enough to have sampled by Frost Fish Cove Soaps. Tory has been crafting her handmade soaps for over seven years now. Based along the coast of Maine, all of these luxurious bath and body products are produced in small batches to ensure high quality goods.
I’ve tried a soap, lip balm and lotion and the scents are absolutely yummy. If you’ve been a Mixed Plate reader for a while now, you’ll know that I’m not so good with heavily scented items. The soap, lip balm and lotion were pretty fruity smelling and they were just perfect! The lip balm was very smooth and slick and left my lips with a mango fragrance (I had a tangerine-mango blend). Can I just say that the Valencia fragrance that was in my lotion was good enough to eat! Oh-so-citrusy!!! Hmmmmm, getting hungry?
Frost Fish Cove Soaps also has other goodies to offer up including bath salts, gift baskets, vegan products and more. Head over now to check out the yummy goodness that Tory has cooked up today. You can also keep up with her by reading the Soap Blog. Hey, you too can smell good and be nice and smooth!
Spa-Strength Salt Scrub; Vegan Handmade Soap (One Pound); Lip Balm Pots:

I was so excited when Kris contacted me. She is a certified massage therapist and the owner of Relaxation Works Body Work & Spa Company. At the shop you’ll find yummy spa products like Organic Chocolate Almond Oatmeal Crunch Body Scrub and Crushed Brazilian Mocha Bean Whipped Body Frosting (mmmm…).
Kris uses the products she makes in her private massage practice. She had so much success with them that it lead her to bottling and labeling them under her other company name, Relaxation Works Skin & Spa Company. You can also learn to make your own products by hosting a home spa party, too. How fun does that sound?!
So if you’re in need of that “Calgon, take me away” moment, head over and see the fresh spa products that Kris has to offer. If you’re in her neighborhood of Lakeville, MA, stop by and get a massage or schedule a party. Relaxation is on the way…
Spa Bag Sampler-Lavender Lux 5 Products; New Zealand Hibiscus Body Sorbet Scrub; Spa Set-Coconut Voodoo:

Enter code “ETSY2CBMB” in the message area when checking out at the etsy shop and receive a free overstuffed sample of their new whipped body scrub, Crushed Brazilian Mocha Bean (it’s Vegan!).

The wonderful Chrissy Wilbee of Boh Bon Soap Company sent me some amazing samples to try from her shop. Now, I’m not one for over-smelly soaps (or anything else for that matter) and have sensitive skin and a sensitive nose. These were perfect! With scents like Spearmint and Eucalyptus, Fresh Squeezed Citrus and Lavender, how could you not fall in love with these handcrafted soaps? I surely did! The fragrance fills your shower, giving you an aromatherapy session while you get clean.
Created in small batches to guarantee freshness, Boh Bon Soap Company surely hits the mark on quality bath and body products. The use of natural ingredients is key with me, along with the fact that there is no animal testing done or any animal fats included (go, vegans!). In fact, the majority of items at the shop are vegan except for a couple of them that may contain an animal byproduct (such as goat’s milk). Chrissy avoids using unnecessary synthetic and artificial fillers – No chemicals here! Premium plant oils, along with skin nourishing butters, such as mango, shea and cocoa are at the start of each recipe. Fragrance oils are not an option. Boh Bon Soaps are scented using pure essential oils (yeah for us sensitive-types!) along with herbs, clays, botanicals and spices to give them color and texture.
Check out Boh Bon Soap Company for yourself to see what Chrissy has cooked up. In addition to the handcrafted soaps you’ll find specialty soaps, tub teas, sample packs and more. You may soon be sharing your love for this company, too!

Scrubbie cookies? Smoothie cookies? Scent cookies? No, no…not cookies that you eat.
Melanie at Earthenwood Studio has come up with yet another fun thing at her shop. Smoothie Cookies are small terra cotta “cookies” that are made to soothe your feet. There are smooth little bumpies on them that help to relax and invigorate your tired soles. You can use the cookies with your favorite lotion or body oil to massage your feet. Even before that, however, you can use the Scrubbie Cookies to exfoliate the rough and dry skin away.
What’s fun about these products is that Melanie has created a large selection of designs that you can choose from. You can have a Scrubbie Cookie with an apple image on it, a Smoothie Cookie with a cupcake image on it or a Scent Cookie with candycane image on it (just in time for the holidays). Each of the cookies come on a ribbon or cord – perfect for hanging!
Earthenwood Studio started when Melanie and Chuck met and fell in love while studying at art school. Melanie had a passion for earth clays and Chuck for wood engraving and paper arts. Together they formed this company which creates everything from jewelry and beads to kits and soon will have art prints…and of course, the “cookies”.
Ahhhh…time for a pedicure…
So put your feet up and relax as you head on over for a visit at Earthenwood Studio.

What is it about bath and body products that’s so fun? Why do we like to look at, purchase and use things like soaps, lotions and scrubs? Maybe it’s all the colors, packaging and scents. Maybe it’s the feeling of being pampered when you purchase these things. You know, as if you were having a mini spa day for yourself.
Donna at Valhalla Soap Company brings that mini spa day to all of us. Glycerin soap, milk soap, body care products, soy candles and more can be found at her site.
Donna officially began her family owned and operated company in 2001 with her husband Matt and daughter Natalie. Her passion for soap making grew when an abundance of goat’s milk from her family’s goat herd got her thinking…Why not make soap? That was in 1995.
Check out Valhalla Soap Company and pamper yourself a bit. You’ll be glad you did.

The wonderful Shannon over at Foster’s Creations makes some great bath and body products. There are soaps, lotions and even something for your baby’s bottom! She even makes soaps with meaning behind them for a cause.
The Pink Ribbon and Lauryn’s Hope soaps were created for the purpose of donating profits to specific foundations.
The Pink Ribbon soaps have a pink ribbon on them and are dedicated to giving 10% of the sales from it to the Susan G. Komen Foundationn for breast cancer research.
Lauryn’s Hope soaps are with a gold ribbon on them in honor of childhood cancer awareness. A friend of Shannon’s has a daughter named Lauryn who was diagnosed with a rhabdoid tumor of the liver in 2003. Shannon designed this soap with her in mind and gives $0.50 from each bar sold to Lauryn’s Medical Expense Fund.

Oh, I mean is your skin sensitive. I have sensitive skin and am not always able to use the nice smelly products that so many others are able to.
This is Lavera. It is my favorite brand to use for skin care. I have never had a problem of breaking out in a rash, which has happened when I’ve tried other soaps and washes.
Lavera is a company that was born in Germany and has won awards for its high quality natural products. Everything they sell is made for the person with sensitive skin in mind – 100% organic plant oils, herb and flower extracts, fragrance free, free of synthetic additives and 100% cruelty free!
Visit their site and browse around to see what they offer. You’ll find cosmetics, hair care, skin care, sunscreens and more. They also have a new Lavera Rewards program where you will earn points with every order you make, leading up to a savings on your next purchase!
