the 25th is getting closer. eek! i am doing a late post because i’ve been running around doing post office runs, grocery shopping, adding last minute touches to gifts, and…oh, yeah…baking for the last several hours. i thought i would take a break to show off the lovely i heart paper section of the gift guide. because, you know, i really do heart paper…

alright. today is the day where i get my holiday cards written and mailed out. that is the goal. i know, i’m super late this year. whenever november rolls around i begin debating whether i should make my own holiday cards or purchase some lovingly handmade ones by someone else. when i come across beautiful cards such as the ones below, i secretly want to hoard them all for myself. i know. it’s a problem. but, can you really blame me?!

you know how i feel about notebooks, right? well, you can never have too many…






um, yes, please! these adorable notebooks are by illustrator and graphic designer verónica de arriba who is based in granada {spain}. each notebook contains 30 pages and the inside is made of 100% recycled paper.

i just stumbled upon this project where 25 leading letterpress printers were asked to create 50 unique notebooks. they had free rein to do what ever they chose. the “feedback loop” collection of their limited edition books can be found over at the felt & wire shop where 100% of the proceeds will be going to design ignites change, supporting their school: by design youth mentorship program. you know, not that you needed a reason to own another beautiful letterpress notebook.

At the Renegade Fair here in San Francisco a couple weeks back I quickly scanned Hillary Bird‘s booth. I fell in love instantly! Since I was with a friend who was there for a limited amount of time I decided to breeze through the show quickly and then return to visit with crafters after she had left. Well, I had meant to check back in with Hillary and missed her {I know she was busy when I passed by again}. Needless to say, I was absolutely kicking myself after. I mean, I wanted one of everything…
