Vintage suitcases. Suitcases of all kinds are a pretty neat thing, don’t you think? It can symbolize an adventure, a change, something exciting, or perhaps even something sad. I like the idea and romanticism behind vintage suitcases and luggage pieces even more. Plus, they always remind me of going into the storage closet at my grandma and grandpa’s and playing with their old brown suitcases. These, I have to say, are much more attractive than theirs were…

Pretty Dresses. I’ll admit that I am not the most feminine of girls. I haven’t really worn a proper dress or skirt in ages and am primarily in jeans. I only own flats and really could live in jeans or sweats if I could get away with it. However, I am drawn to things that are girlie. Not over the top girlie, but sweet. Maybe I need the touch of femininity these handmade (and often custom sized) delicate dresses offer.

Things that’ll keep me warm. I know I’m always talking about the weather now that I live in San Francisco. It was cold and foggy on Saturday. I got all prepared on Sunday and thought I’d throw the ol’ boots on to keep comfy. Uh, yeah. It ended up being pretty warm. The good news is that I’m not the only one confused by what the day will turn out to feel like. So, in the spirit of always being prepared I picked out some great things from Etsy…

Bookends! Currently I do not own very many books. When you move (I’ve moved a couple times in Hawaii a few times in the last several years and then here to SF) you tend to keep things pretty minimal in your living space. Of course, I say this as I just placed an online order for an amazing photo book (I’ll share that with you once it arrives). My point is that I have a bookshelf that all my books, cookbooks, magazines and other miscellaneous items are stacked. No bookends, however. Maybe if I can get my act together and have space for some bookends, these will do just lovely…

I really love too many doggies to list them all. There’s just something that makes me smile and get that warm and fuzzy feeling inside whenever I see dogs and so I thought I’d share some amazing artwork I found on Etsy featuring them. Enjoy…

Buttons. Colorful buttons. Buttons that are in fun shapes and sizes. Did you know that there are all sorts of uses for buttons other than just to keep your pants and shirts on? Use them in crafting (cards, scrapbooking, etc.), sew them on a bag or use them to spruce up an old sweater. I found tons of buttons just on Etsy alone. Imagine the possibilities…
