Vintage Lace

I adore the vintage lace wrapped around vintage keys at Farm Girl Studios. The shop has unique finds for use in your scrapbooking, mixed media arts, or maybe just for display. I figured the lace was July 4th appropriate…

Heidi Swapp

If you’re into scrapping, you know Heidi Swapp. Her stuff is great and pretty affordable. Her things are sweet and feminine and everyone knows Heidi for her handwriting. She’s even written a book on learning to “Love Your Handwriting“.

I went on a little trip to the scrapbook store the other day and this is what I found…and so I may have purchased a couple of them…

Here are some journaling spots (sort of like little sticky notes that you can journal on or add to your pages), Bling frames that are in circles (to add sparkle to your pages) and chipboards clocks in brown:

Flowers that come in large and small sizes (and in different colors), more journaling spots (these are the days of the week-great for if you want to jot down things you did on a trip), more Bling (words, this time):

Iron-on letters (she even makes iron-on words now), a pink mini iron (cute, right? I don’t even like to iron my clothes…but this is a different story!), and decorative tapes (she’s got a bunch of different designs and they all come with a dispenser):

Aren’t you feeling like it’s time for a trip to your local scrapbooking store?

So it’s a Planner…

Creative Planner-Quiet Meadow

It may look like any other ordinary planner, but is it? Not quite. I saw this the other day when I popped in to one of the scrapbook stores the other day and had to share this.

The shell is a “just a planner”. It comes in four different colors, I happened to like this “quiet meadow” shade of green, and it has inserts that you would purchase separately. Normally when you go to Franklin Covey there would be choices of calendars (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.), address section, shopping list section and so on.

Enter the Creative Planner by Memory Dock. It is a soft, faux leather planner with a window on the front so that you can personalize it with your favorite photo. It has a pen loop, inside cover pockets in the front and back and has a magnetic snap closure.

Sounds pretty average…

Until you see the pretty pages that go inside. Memory Dock has designed pages for the scrapbooker and craftperson. There are inserts such as the Calendar and More (which is a normal calendar and can help track important dates, etc.), Notes and Journaling (for you to take notes and space to help you journal), a Reference Section (for personal info - frequently called numbers, contacts, etc.) and a Creative Section (the best part, in my opinion, with a scrapbooking shopping list AND a photo planning area AND creative sketch area AND MORE). Oooooooh…not so average anymore….

I think this would be great to have with you if you travel. You can have all your thoughts and journaling down in one place. One of the insert packs even comes with envelopes for keepsakes you pick up along the way.

Go to Memory Dock to learn more about their products.

Patterned Paper

I like paper. No, I really do. In fact, I just may love it!

Scrapbooking is much different than it used to be. There are a ton of new products that are constantly being introduced each month. One of the fun things about scrapbooking is looking at all of the fun patterned papers. You can really do so much with these papers…more than just using them on your scrapbook pages.

These papers are from the new Play Collection by American Crafts.
