Saw this on Three Potato Four‘s blog. I have a girl crush on Jessica. She’s so creative and I love her work.

Holy mother. Last night I went to see The Dead Weather perform at The Fillmore. It. Was. Awesome.
Excuse the non-flash photos. It’s tough trying to capture great shots with concert lighting, an average digital point-and-shoot and, oh yeah, while you’re trying to rock out. If you had seen my tweet about getting tickets to a show, this was what I was referring to. I was worried because both nights of the show were sold out and I had been desperately searching and resorted to hunting on Craigslist {I may or may not have a serious Jack White addiction}. My concern was that I had never bought tickets off there before. I got a response from a woman who said they were still available. Great! She gave me her number and I called and we arranged a meeting yesterday morning. On the phone I had asked if she was attending the show and she said she was not. Rather than being hard tickets they were printed off her computer. Hmmm. Should I be suspicious? I mean, I’m a pretty trusting person but I was about to hand over cash and I wouldn’t really know the tickets were legit until I got to The Fillmore. Anyway, I did some research and went for it. I met her yesterday morning and she told me it would be fine and that the tickets belonged to her son who was now grounded. Thank you for being a disciplinarian! Score for me! I handed her my cash. I went to the show. Got patted down. Handed over my ticket. It scanned! Success! Again, it was an amazing show. I’d definitely go again if I had tickets for tonight’s show. If you’re hitting Coachella, do not miss their performance.
I just have to say that I am really excited that this show is back. Do you watch it?
My sister has already texted me that it’ll be airing soon {she lives in Florida}. No one tell me what happens, please. I’ll have to wait until it’s posted online tomorrow. Sometimes having no television sucks. :o(
I saw this adorable video that Rachel and Jordan posted the other day. The Girls with Glasses Show is a project that is still in the works and is going to be what the world needs – a smart girl talk show. Brooke White and Summer Bellessa will bring this semi-variety talk show to light through humor, offer intelligent insight to fashion, entertainment, art and music. I think it sounds great!
Cute, right?
ps – the music in the video {their theme song} is an original piece that was co-written by Brooke and Summer. Brooke is on vocals and piano and Summer on drums and back-up. So talented!
If you and I are friends {of course we are}, you’ll know how much I adore animals. I absolutely am obsessed with Sharon Montrose‘s work and was so happy to have caught this video that Etsy put together of her.
I don’t recall ever seeing an ‘ukulele like this back home in Hawaii…
Yes, this Apple Ukulele 4 String {$300.00} that is handmade by Celentano Woodworks is fully functional. All of the instruments in the shop can also be modified into an electric version. Awesome.
ps – check out their youtube channel for some of their instruments in use.
Just saw this new video by She & Him for “In the Sun” off their upcoming album, Volume Two {can’t wait!}. M. Ward is great. Zooey Deschanel is incredibly adorable. I’ve never seen “High School Musical” before, but I guess that’s what it’s styled after. Whatever it is, it works for me…

Thanks to my friend, Victor, for sharing this awesomely adorable video…
ps – Don’t you love Victor’s new header? His sweet lady love designed it. They are too cute.
Who is that musician {or musicians} that you always go to time and again? When I need to feel calm. When I want to go to that moody place. When I just need some relaxing tunes. It is a small handful of musicians I count on and Ray LaMontagne has been the one who seems to always be on. In fact, I’m actually listening to him as I type this post {makes sense, right?}. So I thought I’d share some concert posters I found online from his past shows.

If you’re not already a fan, let me introduce you to a nice quality video {or 2} of him performing. If you are a fan, enjoy…
Had to share this video {by Steve V} I found that Joanna posted regarding the psychology experiment of willpower. It’s too cute and funny not to. There’s a story about it in The New Yorker as well. Tempted?

Hooray! The Handmade Nation documentary DVD will be available starting on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 via Buy Olympia and will retail for $19.95. If you’re a retailer and are interested in carrying the DVD in your shop, are looking to purchase a copy for your school, library, museum or other institution, check here. Congratulations, Faythe!
ps – check the blog for upcoming screenings. you don’t want to miss it.
