ps – check the blog for upcoming screenings. you don’t want to miss it.
One of my favorite creative folks, Portland-based artist Jill Bliss, has recently designed two limited edition pieces through 20×200. The Handmade Treehomes prints are simply lovely {perhaps a dreamy place to imagine living in} and are even more special because they are a benefit edition for Handmade Nation. You can learn more about it by checking out the 20×200 blog.

Have you seen the movie (500) Days of Summer yet? I haven’t but am hoping to make the time to do so. Zooey Deschanel is obviously adorable and the trailers alone make me totally crush on Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Take those two cuties, add a song by She & Him {love She & Him, by the way}, with a bit of dancing, and perhaps you get a fun little video like this…
So maybe that wasn’t what I was dreaming of last night. But, I thought I’d share this adorable clip of Regina Spektor with you for your morning. She looks so happy and it just looks like they’re having a fun time. I saw this yesterday via another blog who found it via another blog, etc. while I was surfing. Sorry that I can’t remember where I saw it exactly.
If you follow me on Twitter {hope you are} or are my friend on Facebook {Mixed Plate’s fan page, network}, you’ve already seen this. That’s ok. Now you can see it again. I love me some Jason Schwartzman…
This is the preview of their new magazine. UPPERCASE states that they are “a magazine for the creative and curious!” If that fits your bill, get a copy of your very own here. The first issue will be available in early April.
Shauna and Stephen. I love them so much! I know, I know. It sounds familiar. You’re right. I say this every single time I feature something they’ve made. I can’t apologize for that and probably won’t stop either. Here’s a little something I meant to post last week about them that’ll have you loving them, too (if you don’t already!)…
Tell me you don’t want to move in with them!?! I do. No doubt.
ps – thanks to Tara Young for putting together such a fun video. This is a great new video series!
I saw Greg Laswell again here at Cafe Du Nord in San Francisco on Monday. He was, once again, amazing. He and his bandmate, Brandon, played about 12 songs and I think know everyone was in love. In addition to having a great voice and playing the piano, guitar and drums (or using his guitar as a drum), Greg Laswell is super funny, too! He really does put on a nice intimate show and I, again, encourage you to see him if he’s in your neck of the woods. I cannot wait until he’s back in the area.
Some clips that other folks have uploaded from other performances:
oooh, someone put up one from the show I was at:
ps – I bought a shirt. I can’t recall ever buying a concert t-shirt before. I kicked myself last time for not having cash with me so I got one this time. And I am gonna wear it proudly!
